Summary
Part Two of the Good Morning Football Podcast begins with how the Packers move forward with Aaron Rodgers. Hosts Jamie Erdahl, Kyle Brandt and Super Bowl Champion Jason McCourty disagree with Peter Schrager, who believes the upcoming game against the Bears could be a perfect time to play Jordan Love and rest Rodgers. We try to figure out the best AFC storyline from the weekend before Nate Burleson joins in on problems for the Broncos and his thoughts on OBJ's airport issue. We wrap up with Game Balls from Week 12 applauding two point conversions and the new King of NY.

| 0:04.3 | Good Morning Football is a production of the NFL in partnership with IHeart Radio. Hey, hey, hey. Good morning football. Hey, welcome to good morning football. We're presented by old shrapher beef jerky live here in New York City. It's Monday, November 28th. I'm Jamie Erdall. It's Kyle Brent. Peter Shrager. Jason McCordy. On Friday, we talked about what we thought we would be talking about on a Monday morning from Sunday night football. And we had, I think, kind of like downer thoughts, maybe like, oh, Packer was mathematically eliminated. But like, that game was an upper for me. Man, that was fun to watch. First half, second half, scoring, run game. It was all the beautiful things. After the game, though, Aaron Rogers was asked about Aaron, what about maybe shutting it down |
| 0:56.5 | for the rest of the year? |
| 1:00.0 | I don't think so. |
| 1:01.0 | You know, as long as I check out fine tomorrow, I'll expect to play this weekend. |
| 1:04.5 | Oh, you think you might? |
| 1:06.0 | Yeah. |
| 1:07.0 | As long as I'll check out okay tomorrow. |
| 1:09.0 | You know, I might not be able to go Wednesday, but as long as there's no major structural damage, I'll try and get back out there. This is one of the toughest dudes I've ever been around, so I don't ever for one second question his toughness, his desire to be out there, his desire to compete. Matter of fact, he apologized to me, and I'm like, don't ever apologize to me. I'll never question |
| 1:28.7 | that. This guy is the ultimate competitor. Rogers also said after the game that it was excruciating |
| 1:35.1 | pain to rotate his core after that injury, which feels imperative for a quarterback, but if he can go, |
| 1:40.9 | a good Aaron Rogers is always a great thing to have on your side of the ball. Ian, what's up with a banged-up Aaron Rogers last night? What else can you tell us this morning? You would think that turning your core would be important for a quarterback to do. So being able to grip a football seems like Aaron Rogers can do neither. But he is still intent on playing. Let's go through his injuries and just figure out where we go from here. first of all, he has a fractured thumb and a volition fracture, which means that the ligament tears away from the bone and takes a piece of the bone with it. It is extremely painful. It leads to joint instability, basically a torn ligament in his thumb and a fracture of his thumb. So he's dealing with that. Seems like that hasn't really gotten that much better over the course of the last month or so. And now he's got a rib injury. He had x-rays at the stadium. They seem to be more inconclusive than anything else. Could not see a fracture, but couldn't rule out a fracture either. So he's going to have an MRI and a CT scan today, and as Rogers said, you heard it right there. If he can possibly go, if he can be |
| 2:34.6 | somewhat functional, he will be able to go. But obviously these tests are going to show more to the story. He does not want to be shut down as long as they are still in it and they are still in it. So if he's cleared, I would expect him to play at least one more week. Well, yeah, that kind of goes hand in hand with Matt LaFleur speaking to his toughness. |
| 2:51.3 | The fact that he, if he can go by Wednesday, Thursday, then kind of goes hand in hand with Matt LaFlor speaking to his toughness. |
| 2:51.3 | The fact that he, if he can go by Wednesday, Thursday, then you're going to see Aaron Rogers on the field. But it does kind of lead to a greater question. Rap sheet, thanks. I'll talk to you in a little bit as to where the Packers go from here. But speaking of the Eagles from Sunday night, They're flying high. |
| 3:04.4 | They're 10 and 1. |
| 3:05.4 | Other teams hanging around. |
| 3:06.9 | 49-9ers look good. |
| 3:07.9 | Vikings look good. |
| 3:09.1 | But Aaron Rogers and the Packers, there's health to worry about. |
| 3:12.5 | There's how this pertains to the greater conversation in the future of the Packers, particularly |
