Some states are sending people to college for free to fight a teacher shortage

Number one is a Washington Post exclusive. Leak documents show that Ukraine's leader privately plotted attacks in Russia.

President Vladimir Zelensky proposed occupying Russian cities

and pined for long-range missiles to hit Russian targets.

That's according to U.S. intelligence files.

The use of long-range missiles is a sensitive topic for the White House.

The Biden administration has long worried that the Ukraine conflict could escalate out of control

and force a catastrophic standoff between the US and

Russia.

The world's largest nuclear powers.

Another leak revealed that the chief of the Wagner mercenary group offered to give Russian troop locations to Kieve

if Ukraine withdrew from the city of Bakmoot.

These are both part of a broader leak of US intelligence

which surfaced on the discord messaging platform last month.

Number two, it looks like a pivotal election in Turkey may be headed for a runoff. President

Taiyep Erdogan has led the country for the last two decades, but he's facing a

serious challenge from opposition leader Kamal Killech-Dorolu. Neither candidate seems to have passed the 50% mark

needed to be declared winner of yesterday's election. A runoff would take place on

May 28th. This matters because the result could have big implications for NATO and the war in Ukraine.
