The Core 4, the four headlines you need to know.

For the first time in the history of the United States of America, a woman has won a Republican presidential primary.

Over the weekend, Nikki Haley was able to win the

Republican primary that took place in Washington, D.C. And regardless of whether or not you are

a Republican or whether or not you think should even be a good president, it's still an

impressive accomplishment. Now, that's the good news for Haley. The bad news, it looks like this

will probably be the last week of her presidential campaign. Super Tuesday is tomorrow, and that's where a ton of states will hold their primaries for each party. And when you combine tomorrow's results with the primaries that went down over the weekend, we'll finally be able to stop pretending like we're going to see anything other than the sequel to Biden versus Trump.

While Nikki Haley, like I said, did win the D.C. Republican primary over the weekend,

Trump was able to win Missouri and Idaho to build on his lead. At the moment, Trump has a 200 delegate lead in the race to become the Republican nominee for the 2024 election. And I will say,

again, regardless about how you feel about the party

or her campaign specifically, the fact that Nikki Haley has been able to win 30% or more of the votes

in a bunch of states is pretty impressive, especially when you consider that she's taking on a guy

who has won his party's nomination two elections in a row.

In April of 2023, Kaelin Gillis and her friends pulled into the wrong driveway in upstate New York while looking for a friend's house. Kevin Monaghan came outside of his home and shot

at the vehicle, killing Kalin. We've been following this story since that happened,

and we finally have Kevin Monaghan's sentencing. On Friday, he was sentenced to 25 years to life.

He was also sentenced with two to seven years for reckless endangerment, which he will serve
