The Core 4, the four headlines you need to know. On Friday, the Supreme Court reversed

Roe v. Wade, a 50-year ruling that let pregnant women choose whether they wanted to have an abortion or not.

Several states have trigger laws, meaning once the federal ruling on abortion went away,

they immediately made it illegal to get an abortion.

In Alabama, abortion clinics were ordered to cease and desist all operations.

All abortion services have been paused in Arkansas.

Then in Louisiana, they closed their three abortion clinics, among many other states and clinics

that have also shut their doors due to the ruling. Meanwhile, California, Washington, and Oregon

launched a West Coast offense to help protect abortion rights as those three states

are expected to see an influx of patients. Several private companies, including Amazon, Apple,

Disney, Dick's sporting goods, Lyft, Starbucks, and more all told their employees they would

cover their travel expenses if they needed access to an abortion.

Attorney General Merrick Garland said the Justice Department strongly disagrees with the court's decision.

He also said the department is prepared to protect reproductive freedom, including access to the pill known as the abortion pill, which states are not allowed to ban.

Protests broke out all over the country this weekend while a call for all women to strike is being shared on social media.
