The Core 4. The four headlines you need to know. If you have ordered food from Daily Harvest,

please pay attention. Daily Harvest, the meal subscription service, has recalled its French

lentil and Leak Crumbles meal. So first off, if you have

ordered the vegan meal, toss it and reach out to the company. But the bigger story here is how

Daily Harvest has dealt with the food recall. People have taken issue with the somewhat quiet response

to their food making people sick, sending some to the hospital, and in some cases,

according to users on Reddit and Twitter, causing liver failure and permanent organ damage.

The company posted a message on its Twitter page saying there was a voluntary recall of the

specific lentil product, but didn't disclose why or what was happening to the people who ate it. Many people are

claiming Daily Harvest is sacrificing their customers in order to protect their bottom line by not

being more direct with their messaging about the effects of the tainted food. For example,

in the company's Twitter bio reads a message that says, an important message regarding our French lentil and leak crumbles.

Then there's a link to the article that's on their website.

And in a pinned tweet on their profile,

the message says,

we want to make sure you have the latest update on our voluntary recall

of French lentil and leak crumbles.
