Good to be back. Thank you for being here. Real quick look at all the headlines before you start

your day and the show starts right now. And it always starts with the top story. I've

been away for a few days but Hurricane Barrel is still really dominating news.

After weakening to a tropical storm it it is once again up to hurricane status

as it heads toward Texas, where it's expected to make landfall today. Best of luck to everyone down in that area.

So far, this historic hurricane has been

responsible for at least 11 deaths in the Caribbean. After that it then passed

through Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula where miraculously no injuries or deaths were reported.

Again, it is expected to reach Texas today where storm surge warnings and tropical storm

warnings are in effect. Okay, all right, on to sports here.

We'll start with a sad one, a 24-year-old NFL rookie named Kyrie Jackson lost his life

in a car crash this weekend. He was just drafted by the Minnesota Vikings

back in April. It's very, very tragic. He passed away along with two former high school teammates

of his in Marlboro, Maryland. In baseball news, sorry Mets fans,

but I'm going to mention this,

especially since it was just, you know, 4th of July,

but during their game against the Pirates Friday night,

the Pirates hit so many home runs

that they ran out of fireworks.

They hit seven two of which were grand slams and they had none left for the end of

the game. The final score was Pirates 14 Mets 2. They ran out of fireworks. Lastly in sports
