The news is a bit like this morning, so we're going to return to our favorite segment, headlines

that speak for themselves.

This weekend in Charlottesville, Virginia, two statues of Confederate generals were removed

from public property.

Now only a few more hundred of them to go.

Not so unrelated, but CPAC was this weekend.

They didn't say anything new, but just good to know that it happened.

The hottest place on Earth, Death Valley, California, possibly hit the highest temperatures

ever reliably recorded on Earth this weekend, when they recorded temperatures of own 130

and 129 degrees.

Experts need to verify that these temperatures were actually record breaking, and apparently

it takes more than a year to finalize.

Death Valley also hit 130 degrees last year, and that is actually still being verified.

And I don't even know why I'm explaining this verification process, considering I feel

like we get the point, it's too hot.

British billionaire Richard Branson went to space this weekend, along with three crewmates

and two pilots.

Their space plane flew to the edge of space before coming right back down to Earth, and landing

without issue in New Mexico.

Branson says that his company Virgin Galactic will soon start flying paying customers regularly
