0:14.5	The United States Constitution article 2 Section 1 clause 8 states this, quote,
0:20.2	before he enter on the execution of his office, he, meaning the President of the United
0:24.7	States, shall take the following oath or affirmation.
0:28.2	I do solemnly swear or affirm that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United
0:34.4	States and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the
0:41.4	United States.
0:42.4	End quote.
0:43.4	That is the oath of office that was administered to our nation's first President, George
0:47.1	Washington, and to every President at every inauguration or taking of the oath of office
0:52.5	thereafter.
0:53.8	That was the oath of office taken by the 45th President of the United States, Donald
0:58.1	J. Trump, in January of 2017.
1:02.0	It is the same oath of office and the same Constitution, though the Constitution by its
1:06.8	own mechanism has been amended several times since George Washington was President of
1:12.1	the United States.
1:13.7	Our Constitutional form of government is just that.
1:16.6	The Constitution is the basic foundation.
1:19.4	It's the Constitutional.
1:20.8	It constitutes the nation in one sense.
