Let's get you caught up with today's 7 stories.

Number 1, Ukraine peace talks were held in Saudi Arabia this weekend.

Officials for more than 40 countries, including China,

attended. It was seen as a push by Ukraine to grow partnerships beyond its Western

supporters. Russia was not invited to the talks. A Ukrainian official said the meeting was very

productive. It focused on economic and security support with other European countries.

It also looked at finding ways to continue exporting grains from Ukraine

after Russia withdrew from the Black Sea Grain Deal. Number two, the U.S. was eliminated from the Women's World Cup yesterday.

The team lost to Sweden five to four in a dramatic penalty shootout after a scoreless draw

in the round of 16.

It was the team's earliest World Cup exit ever.

Scoring was a problem throughout the tournament.

After three goals in its opener against Vietnam,

the US managed just one goal in its next three games.

Number three, unprecedented glacial flooding swept away two homes in Alaska's capital.
