so let's get going it starts right now.

And we always start with the top story the 2024 Paris Olympics are in the books

more than 10,500 athletes from 184 different countries.

It's over. In the end, we tied China for most gold medals. We earn 40, they earn 40.

We definitely won the overall medal count though. We ended the games with 126.

54% of those medals were won by women. Nice job ladies.

The sports that got the most attention over the weekend were basketball and break dancing. That Australian break. that

Australian breakdancer went viral for not being very good,

but honestly it was cool to see the actual pros out there doing it.

And it was definitely cool watching Team USA on the basketball court. First, the men beat France 98 to 87 to get that gold.

Steph Curry is a machine. It's crazy. Kevin Durant is now the first player to win four gold medals in men's basketball history.

LeBron James was named the MVP.

Then yesterday on Sunday the women beat France by 1.67 to 66 as their 8th straight basketball gold. I love it.

One low point that came out yesterday.

Gymnist Jordan Childs was asked to return the bronze that she won. Apparently there were

some scoring errors that they later reversed.

The U.S. Olympic Committee said they are appealing this decision. But in the end, just

a great Olympics for America. Nice job everybody. The closing ceremony included a handover of the

Olympic flag to the host city for the next summer games which is Los Angeles

2028. If you miss that, Simone Biles and LA.A. Mayor, Karen Bass, gave the flag to Tom Cruise, who flew into the arena,
