So, let's be friends. This is our Monaco Grompre race review.

And how did it go? Did they fix the Monaco Grand Prix?

I think the fact that they tried it is admirable.

And something that gets forgotten is that even

five, six years ago, probably pre-drive to survive, I would sit on this show and I would say

Monaco's like boring and it doesn't work and you can't overtake and nothing can save it.

And there would be so much pushback. But thankfully, the Americans came in and said, hey, you know, sports meant to be fun and we're meant to be enjoying watching this?

And actually, there are so few holdouts now that the broadcast media and the authorities said, hey, we can't keep going.

I can't believe that last year was the catalyst when there was a safety car.

And that meant that there was

no strategy at all because that's how I've seen Monaco for the last 15 years. But now I do feel

validated. They tried it, but did it work? Even my favorite commentator of all time, Martin

Bondel seemed to throw the towel in a bit and said it didn't work, but I don't know what people were expecting.

It was never going to create a delta for overtakes, maybe introduce a little bit of chaos.

But I still think there's plenty of interesting talking points.

A lot of things our main characters did and a lot of storylines to explore.

And at least they tried.
