Summary

If you’re going into the new year feeling tired, overwhelmed, or like you’ve lost your spark a little after Christmas, this Moment is for you. In this short clip, we explore why personal growth feels so hard and why every “new level” in life brings its own challenges. You’ll hear Roxie’s honest reflection on burnout, recovery, and the small daily shifts that make the biggest difference when you’re running on empty. I chose this moment because it’s such a compassionate reminder that you don’t need a huge overhaul to feel better,  just a few intentional choices that support your nervous system and your wellbeing. In this Moment, you’ll learn: Why real change starts with a simple, private decision to feel different How meditation and slowing down can help you recover from burnout The underestimated power of genuine time to yourself What boundaries really are — and how to hold them without guilt This Moment is a gentle invitation to begin the year with more honesty, more ease, and more care for yourself, one small step at a time. ever again. Here it is. This phrase that I love and it says new level, new devil. And the

0:47.4

reason I love that so much is because every time you go up a level in your life, you know,

0:52.7

you have another child or you have a first

0:54.5

child or you find a career you love or you leave your job and you, you know, whatever it is,

0:59.7

every time you go up a level, without doubt, you are faced with all the stuff that

1:05.8

stopped you getting there sooner. It's almost like you say in step it step four? The tests from the universe is.

1:29.5

That's what it is, isn't it? And I feel like, you know, I've had the same trajectory. And you're right. You know, I think there's this myth that self-development is something that you do and then you're done and you carry on with your life. And that is not my experience at all. But sometimes like, you remember that game at the fair where you had to like keep whacking?

1:27.8

And every time you whack something, another one would pop up. It's like that. It's like that. You're like, right, I'm going to work on my confidence. And then suddenly something else pops up and then you're going to work on that. And then you're going to, it's just, it's a, it's a way to live is the way that I see it.

Not like a tick box.

1:47.1

Not a tick box.

1:47.1

So you talked about it's a way to live is the way that I see it, not like a tick box, not a tick box.

1:52.2

So you talked about your recovery from Bennett. Talk to us more about that because I think lots of people relate to that feeling of just foggy headed, overwhelmed, getting through the

1:59.0

days, but not really connecting with it and not really enjoying it.

2:03.6

Yeah.

2:04.6

So what, so you talked about meditating, what else are some of the things that you've done to help you move through that?

2:10.6

Well, I think there was loads of things I did and I would say that the first step, by the way, is really making this decision with yourself.
