And grateful for our YouTube family, our podcast family. It's so nice to have so many

additional spaces where we can connect with people and who, you know, we are able to really

build additional forms of community with. Now, we have this thing that often happens when we

are out to prove something, right? Have you ever been in a position where you, you have to prove that you're going to show them, you're going to prove to them that everything they said about you was wrong? You ever been doubted and underestimated? And then it makes you so mad and infuriated, how dare you doubt me? You think I can't accomplish it. I'm better and better than you would ever imagine not that you would necessarily say

those words but there is this thing that happens when we're being underestimated that for those of

who you know if you're like me a little competitive just just a bit you you know want to prove them

wrong how dare you underestimate me I'm going to prove you wrong. And this conversation is one that can show up

in a variety of ways. It can show up in the workplace, right, where people underestimate you and think

that you are, you know, not capable. Or worse, they think you're a DEI hire and they think

you're a DEI hire as if that were bad, not knowing that DEI hires have to go through so many more tests and evaluations and metrics and moments of decision making than does any non-DEI hire because not only do we have to master the intellectual needs of whatever it is we're fighting for or striving for or applying for, we also then have to master your racism. And we got to be

able to present ourselves. It's almost like an amazing dance where we're learning the script
