Now, the ritual is one that feels really good, but it's also very important because when we do the work of discussing the topics of Black Talklandia, we also recognize that it can be heavy on the soul, can be heavy on the brain, it can be taxing. And, you know, I grew up listening to talk radio, so I know what it is to constantly be hearing a barrage of news and news and news and news. And so we like to start

every single day with a ritual called a moment of gratitude so that we are most optimistically,

energetically prepared to have the conversations that we're going to have today. And that really,

really matters because what we have learned is that when we are steeped in gratitude,

and cannot be trapped by fear. And when we're focused on joy and appreciation, we cannot be limited by loneliness and depression. So all of these things really, really matter. And so the ritual is called a moment of gratitude. And it goes a little something like this. In just a minute, you're going to hear music. When you hear the music, it's going to be an invitation to you to join the rest of us, because when we hear it, we are going to collectively begin taking the slowest, the deepest,

the most lung capacity expanding, joyful heart, invigorate, and troubled mind cleansing,

and weary, so uplifting the most amazingly juicy breath. As we kick off our most important segment of every single day,
