There's so many out there, isn't there?

Sometimes I feel quite overwhelmed with the number of apps, planners, budgeters.

What are the things that you have found and within your community as well

have really helped you to manage that practical side?

The keystone for your money management or your relationship with money is some form of

budget.

And some people don't like that word.

You don't have to call it a budget.

You can call it a spending plan.

Like all it is is a plan for your money.

And all your budget has to tell you is how much is coming in accurately,

how much is spoken for, so how much is going out on essentials accurately,

and then what you have to do is decide what you do with the rest of it.

In principle, it's really, really simple. And I think sometimes there's like a

tendency to overcomplicate it or look for like a magic budgeting technique that is going to

revolutionise it. But I think just stick to the simple principles and then think about your learning style

or your style of managing other things in your life.

And then you can sort of start to think about what way you would like to budget.

So if you're an avid paper journaler and you still keep a paper diary

and everything is like manual and on paper, then maybe keep like a paper budget and there's loads

of budget planners that you can get for that. Otherwise, you can use kind of a spreadsheet that's

again really manual. That's what I do.
