How did you become one of the first female sports agents?

I mean, that's a tough field.

Well, I was a student athlete in college.

I played tennis at Michigan State.

And after I graduated, I wanted to stay in the business of sports. And so I moved from Lansing, Michigan, where I grew up to Atlanta to try to find a job in sports. The Super Bowl was coming to Atlanta, the Olympics. There was a bunch of sports teams, pro teams. So I thought, I'm going to move down there and see if I can figure this out.

And, you know, without boring you with all the details, I negotiated a deal to teach tennis at an

apartment complex in exchange for my rent, which gave me a little bit more bandwidth because I only

had about $2,000 when I got down there, down to Atlanta. But So through some odds and in jobs and different things,

I got an opportunity with a small agency. And we had a few clients, a couple NBA guys and a

baseball player. And after the Olympics finished and I had sort of wrapped that up, I thought,

boy, we got to get more clients.
