Maower today we are talking about Tesla's adjustments to the Model S and Model X

lineups. Those changes did come after market closed today but prior to that

Tesla was up 0.36% on the day to

$297.46 as compared to the Nasdak bound 0.81%

all right so after market closed today Tesla kind of surprised all of us, I think.

I think we were all expecting an update on Model S&X on the earnings call, but today we got that update

one day early.

So in essence what Tesla has done here

is they've taken the 100 kilowatt hour battery pack

for SNX.

They've placed a software limit on those packs

and those software limited 100 kilowatt hour packs are now the best. those

and software limited 100 kilowatt hour packs are now the base model S and model X.

Those do not have any further naming convention.

There's no 100D anything like that, simply model S and model X. The range for those vehicles is

310 miles EPA for the model S, 270 miles EPA for the model X. That is just below

what the 100 Ds were previously at 335 miles EPA range for the

model S, 100 D, and 295 miles EPA range for the model X 100D.

The base price has been lowered as well for those
