Her name is Michelle Wood and just spelled like it sounds. She just published a book last week. Full title, if you're watching this on three of my YouTube channels, X or Rumble. Full title is Model Detective,

a true story of heels, handcuffs, and homicides I've read through today.

It's really interesting.

It kind of falls in line with some of the other people I've had.

I've had private investigators.

I had FBI, ex-FBI agents.

And she's an ex-homicide detective.

And there's a lot-homicide detective.

And there's a lot to talk about.

She has dedicated over 25 years to law enforcement.

As a detective sergeant, she leads a homicide team on the city's west side and investigated thousands of major violent crimes,

an FBI certified SWAT hostage and crisis negotiator as well as a certified police

academy instructor. Michelle also acts as a subject matter expert for the detective promotional

exam, drawing from her extensive experience of crime scenes and in interview rooms.

She remains steadfast in her commitment to truth, accountability, and leadership when it matters

most. And it's reflected in her memoir, which you can find a lot more about her at her website, which I'll bring up this model detective book.com. But she can talk more about that. So Michelle, welcome to show. Thank you so much. Thank you for having me. For people who haven't heard you, I mean, your book just came out. You have a storied career.

I've done a lot of things even before leading up into law enforcement. Maybe you can talk about

your career arc, how you got involved in law enforcement in Chicago and then life as a homicide

detective. Okay. Yeah, sounds good. Well, unlike a lot of police officers, especially in Chicago, I had a couple careers before I actually got on the job.

I still got on the job pretty young. I was 25 years old when I got on. But before that, I was a flight attendant, and I did that for three years. During that time, I also bartended and waitress to make extra cash on the side because

flight attendants don't make a lot of money.

Back then, they really didn't make a lot of money.
