Today we are talking about a business insider article on model 3 production.

Tesla stock on Tuesday closed down 4.93% to $352.55, this compared to the NASDAQ down 0.28 percent.

It was a pretty tough day for the markets overall.

The Dow was down 1.15 percent.

We've talked quite a bit about sentiment and watching four changes in sentiment over the last few days.

My perception is that this isn't a change in sentiment.

I think it was probably just a tougher day for Tesla.

We've had a huge run-up over the last month. So we'll see, but I didn't necessarily get a sense of a lot of negativity around Tesla from the headlines that I was seeing yesterday.

All right, so just a quick episode today, I wanted to talk about an article that came out yesterday from Business Insider. I would preface this by saying take this information with a huge grain of salt. We don't have any way to verify it. The only reason that I'm even discussing it is because I think the

information seems plausible. Business Insider is claiming, quote,

Tesla has made about 30,000 model three vehicles in 2018, according to internal documents viewed by

Business Insider and confirmed by two Tesla employees end quote the other claims

that business insider makes are that quote according to a person familiar with the matter, end quote,

Tesla has made about 6,000 model 3s in the month of June so far.

Their last claim is that fewer than 100 vehicles have made it through the new General Assembly line that we discussed yesterday

in the sprung structure, also known as the tent. So if we operate under the assumption that these

claims are true, which again we have no way to verify. That would

mean that if model three production year to date is at about 30,000 vehicles, if we

subtract the Q1 production of 9,766, Q2 production so far would be roughly 20,250.
