All right, everyone, welcome on to the 2025 mock rookie extension.

So doing this a little bit earlier than we normally would because Danny is about to go on vacation.

0:11.1

And so we are ready to rock it.

0:13.6

And I think, guys, the way everyone who's not familiar with this, the way we're going to do it is I'm going to be the player agent, Dan, and Danny are going to alternate being some of the teams we try to negotiate these.

0:26.0

What do you guys have to say before we begin?

0:29.0

I'll start with you, Danny, on just the general environment that we are looking at.

0:34.6

Some of the macro trends are going to be affecting what we're talking about here.

0:38.1

It's going to be a really fascinating set in negotiations for the non-max guys because you have these two different forces.

1:24.2

And now that a lot of the key guys have resigned, not as many high level guys to

1:30.4

so you're going to think about what's happening now, but you're going to remember that the

1:35.2

ecosystem next year is not the same as it was this year, even if they're similar.

1:39.9

Dan, anything sticking out about the current environment to you? I'm glad Danny mentioned the sad

1:45.0

state of restricted free agency. I'm sure that is going to come up a lot. Both of our negotiations

1:49.3

definitely will come up in mind. The one thing I'll add to that is the incentives. Incentives have

1:56.1

traditionally been a powerful part of rookie skill extensions for a couple of reasons. One, these are
