Nikki Yoxel is a regenerative farmer who has two herds of cattle grazing pasture and woodland

tucked into the hills of Aberdeenshire. You'll have gathered already that Nikki has an intimate relationship

with their animals, really because she's interacting with them every day through a system known as

mob grazing. I'm Helen Needham and in this edition of Scotland Outdoors, I learn about

Nikki's approach to beef production, which involves feeding purely grass and hay,

and the resulting benefits for the natural environment and the health of the cattle.

This is the wee mob, which is the affectionate term of our main herd of cattle.
