And yesterday, I was talking about the automated McDonald's

inevitability where invariably fast food and other low wage positions were going to disappear if given the opportunity by employers.

The goal has always been to reduce the bottom line. The goal has always been to remove the

employee because the employee is not as dependable as an automated machine or service in which they

don't have to necessarily pay for your wages. They don't have to pay for your benefits, anything of that nature.

And I was saying it's, I understand why you want to fight for $15 an hour national minimum wage, federal minimum wage.

But not only is that not going to happen in a federal sense, I think it's too short-sighted.

And as different states will be increasing their minimum wage in 2023, you'll see what I mean.

For the past four or five years, I think, Californians have been very vocal about raising

the state minimum wage to $15 an hour.

And in 2022, that happened, $15 an hour in California.

And you know what happened right after that?

Well, not necessarily right after that, but during that time, over the course of those years,

we have had the worst

inflation in 40 years, which fundamentally negates that increase in the minimum wage.

And I've long said, you're gonna have to tie the minimum wage to the rate of inflation.
