And today I'm running solo. Steve and I are getting ready to take off to sheep show. We have a booth there for X-A-Mountain Gear, and there's just a lot going on.

So I'm recording this solo and going to try and keep it semi-short. But I wanted to dive into some of the specific questions that I've kind of had on the list from you guys, from listeners that are questions kind of from me directly, which is obviously a perfect opportunity to tackle those as I am solo today.

So to dive right into it, let me go ahead and read this email that came through. This listener said, I've been listening to your podcast from day one and just wanted to say thank you, your information and unbiased reviews have been super helpful.

I have been re-listening to your episodes on suppressors because I am getting ready to purchase one, but I had a quick question.

In your episode with Silence or Central, you said you were getting a banish suppressor from them, but I've never heard you do a review on it.

So have you ever used it? Was it any good? I know you've spoken highly of the Thunder Beast suppressors, but those have been pretty hard for me to source lately.

So I am just curious about and looking into other options.

All right, so great question. Yes, we have done that podcast with the guys from Silence or Central. They hopped on here to tell us about their process, how it worked, and wanted to walk us through that.

And we got a banish suppressor from them. I have not shot it. A reason being is I got it just not too long ago. I think in late November, early December,

the ATF process, there was a lot of optimism back when we recorded that podcast with Silence or Central is right at the transition where the ATF, the government was rolling out the new E-form for process that was supposed to speed up suppressor approvals.

And initially it did, but it didn't take long for those dates to be extended and extended and extended and the government is the government and it's still taking quite a bit of time.

So long story short, I did not get that suppressor until after hunting season. And I will be shooting with it in the off season here to compare it to my Thunder Beast and a lot more.

Before I say much more about the suppressor though, I did want to comment on the Silence or Central process because we've gotten a lot of questions about it.

And kind of comparing like, hey, should I buy from Silence or Central or a local dealer, those types of things. I will say that everything went went smooth for the most part with the Silence or Central process in terms of I did everything from home.

Submitting fingerprints and photos and approvals and getting the suppressor delivered to my door, all that, there is no hiccups. I will say it adds time for sure.

So to get a suppressor, you have to wait on the government, right, which is already going to take a while. The Silence or Central process and the back and forth of mailing things adds even more time to that.

And in my opinion, a pretty significant amount of time. So I'm not saying that it's bad, but I wouldn't consider it as my primary way to get a suppressor. If you have something that's more convenient, if you have a local dealer, if you have a Silence or Shop, Kiosk.

Again, Silence or Shop, not Silence or Central. But local dealers with Silence or Shop Kiosks makes everything quick as well. It's a digital transfer. So you don't have to do with snail mail of back and forth things like you do with Silence or Central.

So I would say what I noted on my process with Silence or Central is that it added about two to three weeks on the front end, meaning if I compared, OK, I'm buying Suppressor Day 1 from a local dealer versus buying a Suppressor Day 1 from Silence or Central.

There's basically an extra two and a half ish weeks again from my experience on purchase date to fully submitted to the government.
