Sometimes you just feel like everything's gone wacky,

and that's probably what this episode of KKHI is all about,

as we have many just flat out wacky stories

that have taken place over the last few weeks, and the latest of

which was on the baseball field. It led to a bench-clearing brawl a few days ago between the

White Sox and the Yankees because of a comment made by Josh Johnelson, who is nobody's favorite

player, certainly not in Kansas City of the Yankees, when he referred to

White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson as Jackie, a reference about a black baseball player

and Jackie Robinson. Donaldson has now been suspended by Major League Baseball, and this is a

tricky one because not hearing it, not knowing the context fully

of the history of these two players, Josh Donaldson's certainly not popular in Major

League Baseball circles. He's never been popular on his own team, let alone throughout the league.

Referring to Tim Anderson as Jackie is certainly a cheap shot, a low blow. Is it a suspendable offense? Is it racist?

Man, I'm not sure. I've been around Major League Baseball teams my entire adult life.

And I know this to be true in baseball. Baseball players pick on each other. They take jabs at one

another. It is largely just dismissed as young people

with sophomoric humor and, you know, guys being guys taking shots at one another. Sometimes

you do it with guys on the other team. Sometimes you do it with your own teammates. They have

bizarre nicknames for one another. They're around each other constantly,
