Welcome to the Boneyard with Steve Robertson. As always, I am your good friend and host Steve Robertson here on the Maroon Friday edition of the yard.

Later than I wanted to be, but it's one of those days, right? Working through book edits, we've got proofs back on the majority of the book.

And so we'll finish up everything this weekend and then they'll put the file

And I'm happy to say this book is going to be submitted for some awards that my publisher

really believes in the book.

We cover a lot of ground.

You know, Duty Noble lived a short life in many respects,

but lived through some very eventful times in the United States and the world.

World War I, the Great Depression, World War II, you know,

work through all that, civil rights movement. We address all of those things. And I've

unearthed some things that I think are rather significant, some things about duty

noble's life that perhaps haven't been told for generations. And some of these stories are

over 100 years old. So I'm happy to bring those to you.

And I'll be honest with you.

I'm at a point now I'm ready to be done.

I'm not sick of it, but I'm ready to get this thing off to print, get it on the shelves.

Very excited about the book of all the books that I've written.

This is book number seven.

This is the one I'm most proud of. And my wife always says, well, you always say that. Well, yeah, it's a different sense of

pride, though, because this is a book that I think really shares some insight into who Dutie Noble

was and why he was worthy of the naming rights of our baseball stadium.
