Day one of the Major League Baseball Draft is in the book. I'm going to break that down for you today.

I'm going to preview a little bit of day, too, kind of what we're expecting. You know, got a little bit of a surprise last night is Dakota Jordan was not taken.

Got more on that a little bit later in the show.

But that's a possibility that I don't think many people really embraced, including myself.

I really thought the DJ would get the money he was asking for.

And I can tell you, my sourcing on this is impeccable.

Way back in the month of May, I was told directly that if Dakota didn't get what he wanted in the draft and what he wanted was significant, there was a possibility that he'd come back.

And I thought there's no way that he won't get what he wants, considering the projectability

of this young man. But he is only a sophomore.

Some people kind of confuse that. They think, well, he's got to be a junior. No, he's only a sophomore.

So he has another year of leverage to work with. And so that's something that is in our favor and his

favor, I think in many respects. I think he's a guy that can come back and potentially be a first rounder next year.

But I understand he wants first round money, but we'll get to that later in the show.

But yeah, pretty good day when you're getting to kind of break it down.

Really a good day.

Of course, you didn't want Dante Norrie to go in the first day,

but that happened, and that was always the possibility, because the fastest high school player,

or excuse me, the fastest player period in the draft, and he had a very significant number in

mind, and he got that.

At least he got the slot value.
