Hey everyone and welcome back to another episode of Short Stories for Kids.

I'm Lucy your host and I'm here to read you guys another exciting adventure story where

you just might be the hero.

Today's story request comes from Mithi and Mithi lives in India in Rajasthan and she

loves our stories and has an idea for a story of her own.

Her idea is about her dogs Phoebe and Sasha and they suddenly start talking to her and

then they fight off a sea monster.

Oh that does sound exciting thank you so much Mithi all the way from India that's fantastic.

Here we go.

It was another hot day and Mithi noticed that her two dogs Phoebe and Sasha were already

looking for Shay to hide from the sun.

Come along you two she said calling to them.

I shall take you down to the ocean and there you'll be able to cool off in the sea.

This seemed to please the dogs immensely and so despite the heat they followed Mithi

on the track down to the beach.

Phoebe and Sasha loved the beach and they were soon racing along the soft sand.

In no time they were far ahead of Mithi because of this they came upon a small wooden bowl

set into the sand long before Mithi was able to see it.

Inside the bowl was a saffron collage shirt neatly folded but it was what was inside the

bowl that had caught the dog's attention.
