Summary
Rumors about an earlier Egg Bowl made the rounds on Monday, but in the end State will travel to Georgia as scheduled.
The SEC has had to postpone the Texas A&M game with Ole Miss, which led to OM AD Keith Carter making some statements that created some buzz. As it turns out, the Rebels will be without an opponent this week, which gives them two weeks to prepare for Mississippi State.

| 0:00.0 | Welcome to the Bone Yard with Steve Robertson. As always, I am your good friend and host, Steve Robertson, on a very late edition of the yard. We had a long day in Stargville. There's a lot of rumors and speculation that were going on about this weekend's ballgame. We finally got some official word at Mike Leach's press conference. You're going to talk about that someday. I got some of the day. Got some recruiting stuff to update you on, of course, some of the great top 10 list. |
| 0:24.2 | But yeah, |
| 0:24.8 | there's a lot of rumors out there that got out there. And I think it's important, as always, |
| 0:30.2 | to kind of understand that the initial reports are usually lacking in facts. And Keith |
| 0:36.1 | Carter, old Mrs. A.es AD made some comments kind of |
| 0:39.4 | inspecletive in nature and I think some people kind of ran with those assuming those were |
| 0:43.8 | going to come to fruition and that's not any criticism of Keith I'm sure he's just sharing |
| 0:48.3 | what he's hearing but Ole Misses game with A&M is off and at point, that's the only SEC game that we're aware of being off. |
| 0:57.8 | What complicates things a little bit is Texas A&M has already had a game postponed, |
| 1:02.7 | that being the game with Tennessee. |
| 1:04.2 | So that pushes that game to December the 12th. |
| 1:07.6 | So when will O Miss and A&M play? |
| 1:10.7 | Well, that's a good question. In the event that A&M nor |
| 1:16.6 | Ole Miss, which you can already mathematically remove O'Miss from conversation, if A&M is not in |
| 1:23.5 | contention to play in the SEC championship game there is a real possibility that |
| 1:27.7 | game could be played December 19th same day as the SEC championship game that's |
| 1:32.5 | never happened before that we've had games on the same day but it's a unique |
| 1:36.4 | situation told earlier today that league presidents of the SEC last week gave |
| 1:42.5 | their blessing for Greg Sankey to be able to kind of tinker with the |
| 1:45.6 | schedule as he saw fit to ensure we get the games in now what that basically means gives |
| 1:52.0 | him permission to do the 19th but also too let's say for an example if we had a couple of teams |
| 1:56.5 | let's say this weekend let's say that Arkansas and Georgia couldn't have played. |
