As always, I am your good friend and host, Steve Robertson, here on the rare Tuesday edition of the yard.

Yesterday was a travel day for me as I made my way back from Rocklahoma, a good weekend.

It's always nice to get away.

You know, I'm going to do something kind of, kind of reconnect with the tribe, so to speak,

if you know what I mean. It's always nice to kind of get out. I've done a lot of traveling

this year, a ton already, a lot of Mississippi State baseball travel. My hope is we have at least one more, well, I guess there will only be one, but one more Mississippi State Baseball road trip this year. I'm hopeful that it's the case. We'll get into all of that. We'll get into a,

you know, a quick glance back at what the SEC tournament champion has done in recent years

after winning the FCC tournament championship. And we'll kind of look ahead to, you know, to the

NCAA tournament bracket. We'll kind of look at, you know, what to expect. And so I'll be back

tomorrow. We'll begin to really kind of break down the regional pairings a little bit more as they relate to Mississippi State.

Already kind of beginning to get some information about pitching matchups.

One of the things that I will tell you, there's some rumors around this morning that Mississippi State has already decided to throw JT again on Friday.

I am told by an impeccable source,

that head decision has not been made.

The only thing at this point that we can feel confident about is that Ethan Small will not throw on Friday,

that we will save him for Saturday, which makes a lot of sense,

considering that Miami has five or six left-handers in their lineup on a regular basis.

And so smart to throw Ethan in game two, whether it be central Michigan or Miami.

But with Southern coming in, Southern is not a pushover type team.

I know states have some success against some swag teams this year.

Southern is a proud baseball program.
