2020. I'm Chris Elkins with the Denison Forum, narrating today's article written by Dr. Jim Denison.

My wife and I saw Mission Impossible, Dead Reckoning Part 1 over the weekend, and I understand why one of the

0:22.8

actors called it, quote, the biggest action movie of all time. Without giving away the plot,

0:29.2

I can tell you that Ethan Hunt's enemy this time is the entity, which is essentially artificial

0:35.9

intelligence on steroids. One reviewer described it as

0:39.6

omnipresent, near-omniscient, and almost intangible, yet it has the potential to send the

0:45.9

earth back to the Stone Age. Upon reflection, it occurred to me that the movie parallels the

1:21.2

the God of this world and states in 1. John 519 that the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.

1:30.1

Second, the entity is deceptive in the extreme using digital means to mislead its adversaries.

1:36.6

Similarly, we read in 2 Corinthians 11, verse 14, that Satan disguises himself as an angel of light,

1:43.7

and in 2 Corinthians 4,4, Satan has blinded

1:47.7

the minds of the unbelievers to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory

1:52.0

of Christ, who is the image of God. Third, the entity is humanity's greatest enemy, threatening

1:58.5

the destruction of life as we know it.

2:01.3

Similarly, in John 10 verse 10, Satan comes only to steal, kill, and destroy.
