Welcome to a special episode of Murder in the Rain.

This is Alicia, and today I'll be sharing the story of Shane Spraker, a missing man whose

family is desperate for answers. Besides sharing the case details, we'll be speaking

with two of Shane's sisters who share what they can about his disappearance.

This is an open and active case. This is to get the information that is available out

to as many people as possible. Murder in the Rain makes no allegations towards any persons

involved in the case. We hope this is shared and that someone comes forward with some

information. 47-year-old Shane Spraker was last seen at work in Vita, Oregon, an unincorporated

area of Lane County. On November 2, 2021, Shane left the construction site he was working

at, leaving his power tools plugged in, ready to go upon his return. It was about 10am when

he went home, but he never returned. Three days later, his truck was located near the

Blue River Reservoir. While we often hear similar cases of a missing person who has perhaps

left on their own accord or has taken their own life, Shane's family is certain that

is not the case as he was excitedly working on rebuilding his home, which had been destroyed

in the holiday farm fire in September of 2020. Shane is a 47-year-old white male. He is

six foot one 175 pounds with brown receding hair. He has hazel eyes and a short beard and

uses reading glasses. When he went missing, he was wearing a camo jacket and dark work pants.

I'm Jody. I'm Shane and Stacey's older sister. We have my brother and then there's four

girls in our family. Shane lives out in Oregon and the rest of us, most of us are in Minnesota,
