Season 3 of my investigative series Stolen is out now.

It takes place on the Navajo Nation, the largest reservation in the United States.

Investigating the case of one missing woman leads me to try to understand what justice means in a place where people say you can get away

with murder.

She's so big, so much land, so many ways to like hide things.

On the Navajo Nation, vast stretches of open desert and red rock unspool in every direction. It's a place where people can easily disappear. Money is not going to get anybody to talk here.

That place really got bad at night time, gun shots, just turned into the Wild Wild West.

Those guys know sommm. I just think they the wild west. Those guys know something.

I just think they're afraid to say it.

I came here looking for answers,

after a Dennett elder vanished in the dead of night.

My first instinct is, what do you mean she's missing?

She doesn't just go missing.

She just doesn't go leave and not say anything.

But I soon found something else, a tangled web of violence and

retaliation. It's survival out there, that's what it is. It's about survival.
