Summary

Ever have someone do your dirty...but somehow you're the villain and everyone is cheering for them? This week I’m talking about why people defend toxic behavior, how misery loves company, and why being alone doesn’t mean you’re the problem.

Hello, welcome to our welcome back to Trinidad to Care. This week's been a little hectic. Not going to lie,

0:06.6

I was kind of scared. I wasn't going to be able to record this week's episode because we just cut

0:11.1

down a bunch of trees around the house. And by we, I mean a bunch of guys who are qualified to cut down

0:16.1

trees. I didn't personally go outside and start cutting down trees. But we had people working outside all week

0:22.7

and it's just been so loud, but they're finally done. They just left probably like 15 minutes ago.

0:28.3

And I was like, okay, grab my mic. Let's get to it. Let's get this thing done. I can sit in peace

0:33.4

and in quiet and record this episode. Today's episode is actually something that I've been

0:38.6

dying to talk about on here. I think I made a TikTok about this a while back and I got a lot of

0:44.0

good feedback on it. It seemed like a lot of people resonated with the message. So here I am to

0:49.9

expand on that message. Today I want to talk about how frustrating it can be to have someone who's

0:57.5

done you dirty, be rallied around and validated for their bad behavior. It can sometimes

1:04.5

make you feel like you're going insane because this person has clearly mistreated you, but it seems

1:10.5

like regardless of their behavior,

1:13.1

everyone loves them. No matter what you do or no matter how right you are, they still come out

1:19.1

on top and have people backing them. We're going to talk about trying to understand other people's

1:25.4

perspectives, the cycle of victimhood, normalizing toxicity, and

1:30.3

the isolation that can come from breaking out of a toxic echo chamber. So if any of that

1:37.6

sounds like something you're into or you want to hear more about it, then stick around. And let's

1:43.4

get into today's episode. It is actually

1:46.4

one of the most annoying things to see someone who has done you wrong or has done someone you

1:53.3

love wrong. Face zero consequences and not only not face any consequences, but be praised

2:00.1

and supported for that mistreatment.
