Tonight's journey begins with an experience by a listener named Octobrat,

who calls their experience unexplained miracle. Hi, Nick, I've been binging on your podcast

for a few months now, and I'm hooked. Thank you for allowing us to tell our stories

without the typical odd looks or all-out

ridicule. When I look back on my life, I can identify several instances where odd things have

happened that I couldn't make sense of. I usually chalk them up to some rational thing or another,

and then dismiss them. This experience, however, is by far the most baffling. This happened

around 2004 or 2005, but I don't really recall the exact date. It happened in the fall, however,

in upstate New York. At the time, I was a member of the Unitarian Universalist Church in my hometown,

and I was a volunteer teacher at their Sunday school.

I had just parked my car down the street from the school, which is an old Victorian

home that had been converted some years ago to the UU Sunday School.

I had to park on the street because the parking lot behind the church was full.

The church was directly across a

semi-bizzy two-lane road from the school. This is important to the story. The road directly in front of the

church and up about a block was lined with other parked cars. The road did not allow cars to park on the

opposite side, near the school. Sunday school began about 15 minutes

after the church service started, which gave the children a few minutes of church time to be with

their families and get a sense of what a service is like. So, 15 minutes into the service,
