The Harbingers tells the story of Adam Blackwell and Amy Stirling - the first two people in the modern world to figure out how to do real magic. This feat instantly turns them into the world's two most famous, most recognizable people - which would be hard enough by itself, even if Adam and Amy didn't fundamentally disagree about how one is supposed to use magic.
