I'm Carly Wiesel, and I am getting very, very nervous that you all can tell when I record

these when my child is sleeping and when my child is not sleeping.

The walls in my house, they're extremely thin.

I don't know why.

We redid the house before we moved in, and so we, like, built the walls, and yet the walls are just made of dust.

Like, I was walking, essentially, long story, we kind of moved in here and built this house before we even thought of discussing having a child.

And so Pearl's room is in the center of everything. Almost every single

room touches it. So there's like no way to maneuver around our house without getting very,

very close to waking her. We watch a lot of subtitles on TV. And I'll tell you, that has just made

stand-up comedy something we no longer can watch. So I was walking past her room today, like just in the hallway,

just like away from her in the living room, not even in her room. And there was an ad playing

while I was watching TV. I was watching Matlock, the new one, not the old one. I was watching

the new one. And an ad played and it like kind of woke her from across the way. Listen, I try to be

very cognizant of it. I don't want her to wake up because of my belting a hello.

But if the hello seemed a little subdued, that's why.

Usually I try to schedule recording this around her nap time, around her sleepy time.

But here we are.

And we're powering through because this week we have a gab session.
