He is not new to the Bears Beat.

He's been here a while a while, but he is new to the Chicago Tribune's coverage, the newest member of the Chicago

Tribune, Sean, how you doing? I'm doing great, yes, absolutely. Been a couple months now at the

Trib, and it's been a fun start. Yeah, awesome. So we had a windy day at Hallis Hall, and there

were some notable absences. Let's just get those out of the way. So we saw Jalen Johnson and

Diodangbo out doing calisthenics and stuff, but when I came to team drills, I didn't see

either of them participate. And then other notable absences that just were not there.

Kyler Gordon, T.J. Edwards, Ryan Bates, Luther Burden, Terrell Smith, Colson Loveland, Zach Pickens, and Amen,

Ogbong Bamiga. Sean, I guess, just like first reactions to the guys we did not see out there.

Well, a couple of those guys, Kyler, Gordon, T.J. Edwards, Luther Burden, those, Ben Johnson,

as told us previously, they're dealing with soft tissue injuries. Those are not really surprised.

Ben did note that everybody's in the building.

So he's happy about that, whether they're participating in practice or not.

Right.

100% participation or at least attendance.

This is a time of the year.

This is mandatory minicamp.
