I played golf yesterday in the SMGA Open and they're giving away a Chevy Equinox on one of the holes and I thought if my man Pete was here he'd be fired up.

Heck yeah, for like a hole in one. Yeah, it was like a box 78 kind of downhill leaker left with a bit of wind. I did not put it on the green.

I played golf last week and we saw it dude get a hole in one so maybe the mojo. You guys were very steamed up about it.

JB couldn't have cared less. I cared a lot, but we don't need to cut out. I wasn't there. I know. It's like a solid reaction on the text right?

He said what hole and then he said awesome. Have you texted me? I wasn't there. It's something dude. I don't know. It wasn't even somebody that he knows. I know. I was way excited.

Like if you just told me it was like one of your friends that I can't actually know if he had a hole in one. I'm like awesome.

Yeah, you were extremely excited. Yes, I was. It was a cool one. Let's get to some chase young and some football.

Sure. Chase Young's back. We all know he's going to be back at the mandatory. He talked, Ron talked. He practiced. What do we make of it?

I feel like you've cared the most throughout this thing and so you get to go first Peter.

I have cared a lot because and JP's heard me say this on the radio but I'll just be quick here. I still view Chase as what should be a franchise building block cornerstone

a number two overall pick and therefore judge him at that tier. He is different to me than Deami Brown or Logan Thomas.

So I have very high expectations. Maybe that should change because he hasn't done anything to justify that.

But regardless, I wanted him to be at OTA. He wasn't. He is here today. He didn't really address necessarily why but he said he was working out.

He says he feels really good confidence-wise with his knee. He feels like he's back and he can't wait to use a lot of things as motivation including the fifth year option but not limited to the fifth year option or lack thereof.

But yeah, I think this is a very obvious but true statement that this is a turning point in Chase's career.

There's a lot working against him after years and years of everything working in his favor and we'll be able to tell if Chase has what it takes to push back against that stuff or if he just lets it overtake him many folds and he goes on to a pretty nondescript NFL career.

The OTA stuff can be in the past but we will bring it up if he struggles in the future and it will be just another ingredient to what will be a disappointing career but I hope and I do believe there is a chance that he can tell everyone to f off with a really good season.

I think it's safe to say that Chase looked pretty smooth out there. He looked like he was running well, no hitch in the giddy up. He did have a big brace on his leg but I mean he looked good and before practice Ron Rivera was talking and I would say a point that they weren't involved in the offseason workout process and so that he'll wait to see what Chase looks like before making evaluation.
