Now this is genuinely very, very exciting. I'm sure most of you were. It's been a little interesting in breakfast radio here in Sydney. The entire world is talking about what's happened the last couple months, the fallout, with the explosion of the Carl and Jackie O's show. It's been huge. And I'm aware right now

that a lot of people are flicking around and a lot of people who love that show, number one

rating show for two decades right here in Sydney. So I'm very, very excited to announce

out of all of that. One guy who's been a very, very big part of that show, and that entire show,

whatever you think of the kind of Jackie O's show, very big, hardworking team to put that

together. And one of them was a guy called Intern Pete, a very familiar voice on that show.

An outstanding human, very talented producer, and I'm genuinely really excited to welcome him

now. I saw him last week.

He was homeless just by the bin singing and doing some tap dancing and see if anyone wanted to do

an impromptu lie detector test. And I offered him a job on the spot. Welcome to the bright side

Intern Pete joins to Bright Side the Dial. Welcome to us. Thank you so much, guys. Absolute honour to be here this morning. I'm completely overwhelmed, but I'm so, so excited to be here. So how does it feel today? you announced this morning just after 8 o'clock saying that you're leaving and goodbye to the audience that you've been a big part of for many, many years. How many years were you with Conjerk? It was there 12 and a half years. So since we launched KISS basically. Oh, wow. You've been to have been through a lot with everybody. Yeah, long time, long time there. and yeah, big evolving changes there, which is great for them now,

because I'm here, which is very exciting as well. That's going to frame it. It's great for them. Do you mean the court cases? No, well, no, no, I'm having a half full, glass half empty. Old mate's got a job on breakfast ready. It's all good for Pete. Okay. Who knew he'd be the last person standing? Right.
