Right now, a situation I think we've all been in many times, when you're just too embarrassed to say anything, you don't want to cause a scene, you don't want to look stupid, so you will actually suffer.

Years ago, when I think it was only like 24, 25, and it was just before I got into radio I had a sales job in London

and I was taking somebody out who was in charge of all the marketing spend for Europe's largest supermarket chain and it was like a big deal

it was like the final thing was this lunch with this guy. And he was like in his 60s.

And it was the first time I've ever been to a fancy restaurant.

It was in London's Covent Garden on a Friday.

I got there early.

This guy walks in, right, and he uses money and power.

He looked exactly like, no Bill Nighy in Love Actually, Billy Mac.

I actually thought it's Billy Mac.

He just sort of sauntered in,

you know, like a rock star and straight away, it was obviously, he lived in this world. The manager

came beating over, saw it was him done with me. We got upgraded to like a better table. Straight

away, I'm starting to feel really nervous. We sit down and there's like cutlery, I don't even know, is it inside

out? What do we need all these knives and forks more? He looks at the menu like he doesn't really need

to look at it and he just goes steak tartar. Now steak tartar is a French delicacy and this was a Ponzi

French restaurant. To bond with him, I went, me too. And he looked at me and he went, ah, very unusual.

A steak tartar man.

And ingratiated myself straight away.

I didn't know what I'd order.

I just was in, lovely steak on a Friday.
