He is a man. He's 54. The number one reason is affecting him. And that's stress and cortisol.

Stress and cortisol over the last few years, the level of perceived stress has increased significantly.

And when I see perceived stress,

we all have stressors, right? And my husband's one who wakes up worried, he goes to bed

worried, and his stressors aren't changing, but his perceived stress has changed. And over the last three years, four years, the global fear has made

us more stressed. If someone else is stressed around you, that's going to make you more stress.

This perceived stress has increased significantly. And cortisol is that stress hormone. And it has

a complex effect on the fat metabolism

and waking so what happens cortisol is released by the adrenal glands mind you as a woman going into

perimenopause or menopause your adrenals have an extra job already.

They take over the job of producing the hormones.

The ovaries are literally dying, right?

So they're already more burdened than our 13-year-old self.
