Mine would be last night cake, SOS at Woolies.

About half seven, Ruby, my daughter, starts to make a cake.

Oh my God, it's too late, the mess.

I literally go and hide away going.

I don't even need to see that.

She's making a cake for her, one of her best friends, whose birthday is today.

It's a lovely thing to do.

Not half seven, though.

They're tired, they're scratchy.

Anyway, it all goes sideways.

It's just like the cake.

Something wrong with the ice and shiger.

So about quarter past eight, she's on the verge of tears. And I go, look, it's okay. And it isn't.
