This is my story.

You know what?

I was such a sweet elderly gentleman at my local Woolworths.

I went to get a few things and I was just getting a hand basket and he was there first and he was getting himself a basket.

But he gave it to me with a lovely smile and said,

there you go, you can have that one, I'll get the next one.

And I just thought, a lot of men use the supermarket, sort of divorce men.

No, I know they do as a pickup job.

They do.

The smile, I bet he's, I bet he's had many wins that way. That's his play. He saw

someone like you thinking, oh, she's available. And he's gone, why not? I'll chance my arm here.

She's just got a handbasket so she's not shopping for a whole family. She's single.

Yeah.

Lucky, lucky Wednesday.

Oh, no. He's probably been there an hour.

Maybe that's his eighth handbasket.

It's a numbers game for this old timer, okay?

Seriously, supermarkets, loads of people have met their other halves in supermarkets.

They are not pickup joints.
