Got anything good?

Hi, this is the Christian O'Connell Show podcast.

I'm a very big Monday winner.

The best news has come my way in the last couple of hours, actually.

My best friend, Jamie, normally I never see him every year and a half, two years when I go back to the UK.

One of the one of the things I do miss deeply with the move the other side of the world and this is home for me and my family and we're very lucky to have it is you miss those long deep friendships. Right? So I last saw my best friend Jamie two years ago. He was kind enough my 50th. You know I went over to Ireland. He met me in Ireland and we had a great three days in Ireland, Dublin, and we saw Springsteen together.

And it was just great.

And it felt like we were just picking up the conversation because you've got these deep grooves and you've been through a lot together as kids are the same age as my daughters.

And so we're all going through the same stuff in life.

You can't beat those old friendships.

And even though WhatsApp these days and Zoom, it's not the same, especially for

men. Yeah. Terrible at keeping in touch. Yeah. My wife, her family's in the US, and she talks to

them on FaceTime every single day. I can't do it. If his rolls reversed, I don't think I was

no. No, seriously, it's shocking, right? I found out through his wife that he was in hospital with the brain aneurysm, right?

Oh, no.

And I felt so bad because we just hadn't caught up in a couple of months.

Wow.

Yeah.

And it was just like, you know, life's too short.

So anyway, the reason why I'm buzzing today is he's just taking a job in Singapore.

Oh, well, he's close.

Now, you might think, Singapore's not an hour away. It's seven hours away.
