| 1:15.6 | feeling really tired of this. I know I have my moments of feeling really tired |
| 1:21.8 | of this. So I wanted to talk a little bit about some strategies that we might |
| 1:26.1 | use to help us navigate as this continues to go on and on. But first I'll |
| 1:33.8 | start with a little story that will lead me into the first point I'd like to |
| 1:37.8 | make. Some of you might have heard some version of this and somewhere the |
| 1:41.5 | other. This is the slightly longer version. But when I got sober at the age of |
| 1:45.0 | 24 from heroin addiction, I came into 12-step programs and was told I needed to |
| 1:51.1 | believe in God in order to get better. And I was in an area that was |
| 1:56.8 | predominantly Christian. So that idea of God was at least the idea of this God |
| 2:02.2 | that's out there and he's intervening in our lives and making things better. |
