Two things for me this week.

I saw a photo a couple of weeks ago of a man playing American football.

He's on the sidelines.

He's the Philadelphia Eagles receiver, A.J. Brown.

In his moment between Plays and he's reading a book. I'm assuming

thinking, bloody, or whatever this book is, it must be really good. He's finding a calm,

his centre in amongst all the chaos. He's reading this book called Inner Excellence by Jim

Murphy. I buy the book. I finished it this week. It's phenomenal. Wow, what's it about?

It's literally about inner excellence.

He was, Jim Murphy is a former pro baseball player and now a coach for leaders, executives,

and other athletes and Olympians all over the world.

It's a great book.

Great stories, good mix of not too much science, but I've read quite a few books on

peak performance and mental states now. This is brilliant. I get why in the middle of a football game, A.J. Brown is having a quick read, flick through a little reminder and centering himself. I cannot recommend that enough. There's a reason why it's got like, it's like 3,000 five-star reviews on Amazon. Wow. There's a few, um, AFL players I've noticed that have started reading before games as well. Jack Ginevin walks around kicking a footy. I don't know. I'm not sure what he's reading, but he's reading a book before games as well. Yeah, can't recommend enough if you're interested in that kind of thing. Inner Excellence by the guys called Jim Murphy. The other thing, this was on Channel 7 last weekend.

I couldn't believe this is an in excess documentary live at Wembley

about an amazing show that they did in 1991 at Wembley Stadium.
