Christian. Welcome friends to the Christian O'Connell Show podcast. So yesterday I began a new

weekly class with my 16-year-old daughter Lois. So last year, my eldest daughter, Ruby,

she was in year 12. It's going to be our last year at home. So I wanted to do something together.

She started this weekly thing going to pottery.

And every time I picked her up, right, she was so happy.

She was clearly getting something on that.

And so I said, look, do you mind if I join, if you want to do another term,

would you mind if I came along on a Wednesday night we did together?

And she was like, yeah, yeah, I'd love that.

So I'll end up doing three terms last year, pottery. I got no better, right? I was genuinely actually terrible.

Oh, come on. I'm still the proud owner of this little ash tray. What are you? A small ash tray.

But I loved it because you were just hanging out together and doing something together. So it was a

really nice thing to do. So Lois said, look, you've got another two years at school, I want to make sure that we do something, learn something together. Beautiful. But we neither of us

have ever done it before. So she said, okay, I'll leave it to you. Last night, we started our new

eight-week course in African drumming. Oh, cool. Now, she was, I had a very reluctant drummer

yesterday. Okay. It got to, got to like five o'clock, and she was I had a very reluctant drummer yesterday okay it got to got to like five o'clock and she was

going up I've got a lot of school I went yeah because you really worried about that so you just

had the weekend just mainly on your phone but now the right before drumming you know

almost look at it like they're related, but obviously they're not.

And I go, look, tell you what, I know you love Maccas.

We go to Maccas beforehand, right, but to each.

She goes, okay, okay.
