We're kicking off the 90s. And tonight, it's all about the letter A.

One of the biggest movies of the 90s, Armageddon.

It made over half a billion dollars, right?

And a huge, huge, completely over the top 90s movie,

directed by Michael Bay with a who's who of Hollywood in the movies it's stacked with

premier talent this is a movie that has only grown more and more beautiful with time I loved it

it's I tell you what it is it's like an irony sort of free bulletproof zone isn't it I mean

looking back on it the actors and the director try to claim that they

knew that it was irony. They didn't. Not in 1998. They lent in 100% and we're the better for it.

If you're trying to remember Armageddon, okay, it's a load of oil drillers who are put in a space

rocket with zero training, all right? People train for years, okay?

Years to go up to space.

They just, they need these guys because there's a meteorite coming to planet Earth.

And the only chance they've got is this renegade bunch.

I love also montage where they're getting the gang together.

Any movie that does that, I'm all in.

The premise of the movie of Armageddon, right, is that a meteor is going

to destroy planet Earth unless, I actually wrote this down on my notes just as I was watching it,
