I am grateful that you are here today, we are talking about a specific kind of mindset.

And that is the mindset that a true friend has, really me looking at Proverbs 27, 3 different

sections verses 5 and 6, verse 9 and verse 17.

Okay, let's talk about these mindsets of a true friend, we're looking at Proverbs chapter 27,

verses 5 and 6 say, better is open rebuke than hidden love.

Faithful are the wounds of a friend, profuse are the kisses of an enemy.

So this one is talking about kind of an attitude that needs to be behind the surface

between friends where one friend is willing to call the other friend out on their junk,

on their sin, on their insecurities and not in a mean way, not in a hurtful way, but in a way

that's for the other friends good.

You see Solomon's telling us better is open rebuke than hidden love.

So you can say you love your friend all you want, but if you're not willing to help them grow
