chasing stats from 2015 ain't the way to go but you see that a lot in the third

and fourth round of fantasy football drafts.

Aging players who used to be drafted in the first round because they were

RB ones, wide receiver ones. Suddenly they slip into the second round

and the third round and the fourth round as they age and break down.

But they're still getting credit for that W.R. 1 ceiling,

that RB1 ceiling.

Even though that ceiling has been lost in the sands of time,

that upside no longer exists with Devonta Freeman.

Devonti Freeman, who has yet to reach 5,000 total yards

in his career.

A running back who has never rushed for 1,100 yards in a season. He's never done it. But in a very weak year for running backs once upon a time, Devante Freeman was the RB1, the number one running back in fantasy football.

And he's still getting credit for that miraculous improbable season.

Four years later, I have no interest in drafting the RB1 from three years ago.

I want this year's RB1.

My fantasy team isn't a museum.

I need tomorrow's newspaper, not a museum.
